I am earth and oak and cave and mountain.
I am strong.
I am steadfast.
I am constant.
When the storm comes, I weather it.
The magma at my core keeps me warm in the dead of winter.
My leaves drink the sun’s heat in summer.
Spring breaks new life over me in a riot of green.
In autumn I set my roots deep and explode into red and yellow and orange.
I am alive.
Waves break against me.
Wind screams around me.
Fire flows over and through me.
I am the rock you cling to.
I am your anchor in the storm.
I give you safety and life.
I matter.
I am always here when you need me.
But even earth cracks.
Oaks shatter.
Caves collapse.
Mountains crumble.
Earth is strong. Earth is mighty.
But earth still needs tending to thrive.

Earth can be seen as the strongest element, but, in my view and experience, it is also one of the most vulnerable. Water and air grind and erode, turning mountains to dust. Fire can scorch all life from the soil. Earth needs care and support to stay alive and flourish. I have an earth elemental alignment. I am earth and oak and cave and mountain, and I will endure.
